Introduction
In addition to the 20 NFBC drafts, there were also 4 mixed league auctions this year--2 in Las Vegas, 1 split between New York and Chicago on Friday and 1 Ultimate league on Sunday. Like NFBC teams, each auction team fills a 30-team roster with players from either league. Each auction team spends up to $260 on their first 23 players and then fills up the rest of its roster with a serpentine draft.
Because the auction leagues use the same rules and draft pool as the NFBC drafts, we can use the auction values to approximate the draft day values of each player for NFBC purposes. The values of each player can then be used to rate the drafts of every NFBC team and to determine the relative values of each draft slot.
